GONE FOR GOOD [PART 1]

In your quest for diamond,
You’ve been picking nothing but stones,
Your taste for perfection,
Led to your destruction,
You called it love but it was nothing but lust,

You became a very demanding egoist,
With the thought that things will be only how you want,
The moment you started having those selfish thought,
Was the beginning of your disruption,
A once tranquil being,
Turned fierce in a blink of an eye

I chose to stay knowing our perfect imperfections,
Despite your mistakes and flaws,
I had the feeling things could still work out,
No! It only grew worse,
I was wrong to think that I could change your ways,
Forgetting that you can’t change people,
Only when they are willing to change.

I lost forbearance in dealing with you,
Things grew worse as time went by,
I have a long journey ahead of me,
The time I’ve wasted all along wasn’t worth it,
I became despaired with the look of things,
I have a whole life ahead of me,
I am left with no option but to leave,
I’m gone for good.
