LOST HOPE

LOST HOPE
What a world we live in or should I say we live in confused country.
We live in a country where our only hope is the breath we take everyday. “where there is life there is hope”.
Democracy? *”Government of the people, by the people and for the people”* is this really what we practice in today’s Nigeria?
Speaking from my point of view its a *NO* . Today’s democratic system of government has now become *”government of the themselves, by the themselves and for themselves”*
The citizens are not longer put into consideration in our country.
We live in a biased country. Where the poor go extra miles to feed themselves and the rich keep enjoying life filled with luxurious for as long as they can.
Imagine a graduate from a good and standard university being offered the job of a sales rep with a salary that is not enough to feed a middle class family for a month. Whereas as soon as government officials leave their so called positions they offer the seat to a family member or an acquaintance. Imagine such a selfish system of government.
Where exactly should I start my rant from?
Should i start with the fuel hoarding which we all consider “fuel Scarcity” where I have to stand for hours just to get 5litres of petrol double the usual price? or the long queue @the ATM stand under the hot sun just to withdraw a thousand naira (#1000)? or the struggle for bus to my place of work?
Fuel scarcity has now become an every year routine.
End of the year is what we all consider a festive period but for most people it is a period where their struggles is now doubled. All hopes are lost for majority.
Yet the government are not affected all they are after is the extra change going to their various bank accounts.
2017 will come to an end in 7 days time. The question now is…..
Is there still hope for we citizens living in this confused country led by confused government officials? Is there still hope for the helpless citizens of this country in 2018?
What do we citizens plan on helping ourselves with to survive?
Are there any future plans for ourselves?
#When there is life there is hope
#pray for Nigeria
#I will keep the faith alive
#the hustle/struggle continues
#lets keep hoping for the best
#2018-our stories will change for good
